The pendants of La Fondazione are handmade individually by our craftsmen with techniques of ancient Venetian art such as the traditional lamp-working of Murano glass (Venice), with chalcedony, crystals and galvanised Zamak pearls.
The most precious Murano glass is used, such as zanfirico glass, aventurine, pastel colors, and by combining these glasses, precious materials such as gold leaf, both white and yellow and silver leaf, which enhance the shapes and transparencies of the glass, creating sparkling and refined color effects, with the polychrome effect that makes it perfect for any type of clothing.

Yes—only authentic, certified Murano glass. La Fondazione pendants are created in Venice from certified glass rods, handcrafted using the lampworking technique. Gold leaf, silver leaf, aventurine, and chalcedony are not merely “effects”: they are materials intrinsic to the Murano tradition. Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity.
We work by lampworking, the classic Murano jewellery technique at La Fondazione: precious pastes such as zanfirico and aventurine, pastel colours, gold leaf and silver leaf. Not moulded: each pendant is born from hot glass, one by one, in Venice.
Usually yes, if the bail allows it. Send a photo of your chain or the wire diameter and we will confirm a comfortable fit. We would rather say “no” early than send you an incompatible piece.
Yes: every pendant is one of a kind, handmade when you order. Photos show earlier work: slight differences in colour and transparency are normal and speak of the maker’s hand, not a factory fault.

A soft dry cloth, or a barely damp one, is enough to bring back light and transparency. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasives, perfume sprayed straight onto the glass, and knocks against hard surfaces: Murano is made to last, but it remains handmade jewellery, not an indestructible factory piece.
