We use four types of closure<\/strong> on our Murano glass earrings: closed leverback, open hook, butterfly stud and clip-on. All are hypoallergenic and nickel free. The first three are for pierced ears; the clip-on is for unpierced ears.<\/p>\n

Closed leverback<\/strong>
\nA curved hook that locks with a small spring lever at the back. It is the most secure fitting for drop earrings and will not slip out during the day.<\/p>\n

Open hook (fish hook)<\/strong>
\nThe classic open hook that passes through the lobe with no catch. Light and comfortable, ideal for small and medium drops.<\/p>\n

Butterfly stud<\/strong>
\nA straight post held by a butterfly back behind the lobe. Used on stud earrings that sit close to the ear.<\/p>\n

Clip-on<\/strong>
\nA pressure clip that holds the lobe without piercing. Suitable for unpierced ears.<\/p>\n
